ITEM # 031704 (B-29)
Vintage circa 1950's designer signed EUGENE clip on earrings.
Eugene Shultz worked for Miriam Haskell during the 40's, and then opened his own shop in 1950 in New York. It is said that he produced jewelry for the Perry Como show during the 50's. All his jewelry was designed by him and was never commissioned out for anyone else to help produce. As with Haskell jewelry, you can see he did the hand wiring as well as hand setting beads, rhinestones etc. His business closed in 1962. EUGENE jewelry is considered very scarce and hard to find.
Each earring has an amber rhinestone within a textured metal flower. These are dimensional with a slight curve and underneath the flower is a pear shaped topaz rhinestone surrounded by chatons that are absolutely glowing! There are bronze glass seed beads on each side of the flower to appear as leaves.
Earrings measure approx 1" on the drop and approx 1 1/4" at their widest.
Very good antique condition with typical wear due to age and handling.
