Marcel BOUCHER Brooch / Rose Brooch / Mid Century / Designer

$69.30 $99.00

ITEM # 071709 (B-358)

Beautiful signed Boucher circa 1955-65 Swarvoski pave rhinestone gold plated rose bud brooch.

Born in Paris, Marcel Boucher worked as a jewelry designer for Cartier, who brought him to the United States. In the 1930s, he took a job with Mazer Bros., where he worked until he founded his own company in 1937. Boucher made a name for himself creating bold, imaginative, enameled pieces that were individual works of art.

Brooch measures 3 1/2" by 1 1/2"

Condition: Very good antique vintage condition with typical wear due to age and handling. All rhinestones are present. Gold plating still looks new. Some slight hazing upon very close inspection on some rhinestones, but no "dead" black stones. This piece is still very much full of bling!
