In 1944 Coro introduced a new line of jewelry called "Vendome". The word Vendome had been a very familiar name to generations of Parisians, as it was the name of a street in Paris, France, where the couturier houses were located. After World War II, Coro wanted to create a high French fashion couturier jewelry.
The goal was to create a quality jewelry line in a limited quantity, these pieces were found inside jewelry cases, rather than on top of them. The Swarovski company was the main supplier of rhinestones from Austria.
Those who collect high end costume jewelry and or Coro, always love and understand the beauty created by the Vendome line, which is much coveted.
You can find this piece in my shop along with another Vendome necklace.
